Shayla started her fitness career in 2015 as a personal trainer and opened Siuslaw Strength & Conditioning in 2018 with just a few clients in her garage. She saw a great opportunity to bring functional training to her community. She has competed in 2 national olympic lifting competitions and 1 international event placing top 3 in all. She also enjoys a good cold brew no matter the temperature outside.

Coach Angela 

Certified level 1 trainer 2018

USA Weightlifting Level 1 trainer 2022 

Angela started her fitness career as an athlete, reaching the collegiate level in softball. Her favorite movements are barbell cycling and burpees. She thinks broccoli goes with every meal and can be found throwing around heavy things at her family store as well as the gym.

Coach Yilin 

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Crossfit Level 1 trainer

 

Yilin is passionate about movement and fitness as an athlete, coach, and as a healthcare professional. She looks for asymmetries and movement faults to maximize athletes' efficiency and lower their injury risk. She enjoys all barbell movements and her favored movement is lunges. Outside of the gym, she also enjoys getting out for a hike in the beautiful PNW coastline.

Kelly Ross 

Certified yoga instructor 

Kelly has completes 200 hours of YTT and believes that yoga should be as accessible and comfortable as possible for everyone no matter their age, level or size. She likes olympic liftings, spontaneous dance parties, talking about how perfect her dog Buzz is, anything involving food and pigeon pose. She dislikes when people say they are to inflexible for yoga, the wind, and 5 pound pink dumbbells.
